Expertise Client Outreach Strategies and Programs We assist our clients in gaining input from their clientele to assess the impact of their programming on their intended audiences. We guide our clients through sampling methodologies, instrument design, instrument administration, and data analysis. Program / Grant Development Because our staff have worked 'in the field', and maintain currency in emerging literature, we bring unique and valuable experience to our assignments. Clients often look to us to assist them in program design that brings 'science to service' - resulting in their use of evidence-based programming. In addition, we have extensive experience in working with clients in developing competitive applications in response to RFP's at the state and national levels. Impact Assessment & Reporting
We consider evaluation to be an ongoing process of self-reflection. Building upon the so-called ‘empowerment’ model of evaluation (Fetterman, 1996) we view our evaluation responsibilities as the provision of knowledge, methods, and tools to program staff to ‘empower’ them with an ability to continuously monitor and assess both process and outcome objectives in support of continuous improvement to their programming. Our evaluation approach is based in the use of a logic model, which provides clients with a clear structure within which they can articulate a specific community need, develop measurable objectives, plan and identify appropriate interventions, and measure their impact(s). Further, our approach to impact measurement is one where programs are encouraged to not only identify change, but to also address its causality - that is, confirm that the observed change was caused by their intervention, as opposed to other outside factors. Program Evaluation & Research We assist clients in developing evaluations for new and ongoing projects.
Evaluation varies greatly in scope - from straightforward satisfaction
surveys to full-blown experimental studies. Evaluation techniques commonly
used include surveys (online, mail and phone), focus groups, and interviews.
We work with the client to ensure that each evaluation, whether small or
large, is meaningful, user-friendly and produces usable results.
Training & Technical Support We provide training and technical assistance to programs and their clients in areas such as the development and use of logic models, evaluation methods and tools, grant writing, and reporting on outcomes and impacts. We specialize in making research information palatable to the non-researcher through the use of visuals and real-life examples.
